Oh, Philadelphia. You rained and you rained and you played baseball and cheered about baseball and filled hotel rooms with baseball fans and then rained some more. We had a difficult day, and were moody by showtime. Yet, somehow, the clouds parted, and we wound up with friends and donuts. You would have loved it.

After I took this photo, an usher lady scolded me. Then, one by one, Sam, John, Stephin and Claudia spied me in the balcony and made surprised faces. Had I not been scolded, I would have captured those faces on film. It went like this: Sam, bemused. John, schoolboy charm. Stephin, frightened, mid-song. Claudia, tongue.
Janine took us to the spot for veggie cheesesteaks. I was dubious, and proven entirely wrong. Delicious.
